May 7, 2024 - The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan published a Decision in the Matter of Coinsquare Capital Markets Ltd., granting them relief from the requirement to engage one or more qualified external auditors to conduct an independent systems review and prepare a report in accordance with established audit standards and best industry practices and relief subject to systems reviews similar in scope to that which would have applied to an independent systems review.

Securities - General Order 45-932 Authorizing Co-operatives to use National Instrument 45-110 Start-Up Crowdfunding Registration and Prospectus Exemption
May 1, 2024 - The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan is publishing General Order 45-932 Authorizing Co-operatives to use National Instrument 45-110 Start-Up Crowdfunding Registration and Prospectus Exemption (GO 45-932). GO 45-932 permits co-operatives governed, incorporated, continued, or registered pursuant to The Co-operatives Act, 1996, to utilize National Instrument 45-110 Start-Up Crowdfunding Registration and Prospectus Exemptions (NI 45-110) pursuant to s. 160 of The Securities Act, 1988. This general order serves as an interim measure and is intended to remain in effect until NI 45-110 is amended to permit such use.

Securities - Amendment and Restatement of General Order 45-539 Small Business Financing
May 1, 2024 - The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan is publishing the Amendment and Restatement of General Order 45-539 Small Business Financing (Amended GO 45-539). Amended GO 45-539 will now permit shares issued in the capital of co-operatives organized or continued pursuant to The Co-operatives Act, 1996, or The New Generation Co-operatives Act, 1999, to utilize the small business financing framework set out in General Order 45-539, which was originally issued on September 1, 2021.
